What you need to start racing.

A CAR
One of the first things that newcomers ask is "Where can I get a car? The answer to this depends on which formula you wish to race. You will quickly realise that much of the interest of RC Model Car racing stems from preparing the car, and enthusiasts tend to build their own cars using parts from different sources. A TRACK
This is especially true of stockcars. Somewhere to race and a club near you.

A RACE NUMBER
If you are a new driver and have never raced with the Oval Section before, you will be allowed to do so with an "emergency" race number. This provides (amongst other things) the necessary insurance protection for you and the other participants. Please contact the officials at the club where you wish to race.
If you wish to continue racing, you will need to have your own personal race number. Once this has been issued to you, no-one else is allowed to use that number. It is issued for one year and is renewable annually.
Race numbers are issued by the Membership Secretary, contact your local club for registration form.

B.R.C.A.
This is important. After the initial concessionary period of three meetings, you will not be allowed to race without this. B.R.C.A members have the benefit of Third Party Liability Indemnity to the value of £2,000,000 so if you get injured you know that you are covered, and perhaps more important, if you are held responsible for injuries to third parties, you know their claims can be met.
